Turbo wastegate ???

My stock 12cm turbo has a wastegate attached -- the new 16 cm that I purchased does not have one. Is it okay to block it off -- or should I wait for the "correct" turbo?

Don't worry, nothing is wrong. The 16 cm exh. housings do not have wastegates. Block off the line that used to provide boost pressure to the wastegate so you won't loose boost and enjoy the new housing.

Thanks Chris. That is good to hear. Our diesel mechanic (who installed the Dr. Performance and exhaust kit on our truck) had said it was supposed to have the wastegate and that blocking it would not be a good idea. I am glad we can proceed and pull our 5th wheel this week. Thanks again.
