I just replaced my cracked stock airbox with a K&N 0880. I definitely notice that the turbo whine (which I like!) is louder than with the stock airbox. Is this normal? I made certain that the clamps are very tight!

Yes it will be louder. Did you make sure to slip in a 1" wide piece of 4" pipe so that you don't collapse the filter where you clamped it to the intake hose?

Scooke... ya, its normal, and if you really want to hear it, remove the silencer ring! That was just too loud for me, I re-installed the ring.

Aren't you the one that needed some guidance with your fuel filter? Did ya ever get it changed? If not, email me and I will help! The dodge dealer in auburn wants 95 dollars! A filter from Genos Garage cost about 16 dollars!

By the way, I am using the Jannetty Racing Cold Air Induction so it did come with the 4" diameter connecting pipe. Installation was a breeze!

Just pull up beside a stroke or a Max and step on it. They will be so busy listening to the Turbo spool up, they won't even think about steppin on the pedal. Roll your right window down and enjoy the noise. I call it Cummins noise. So when you get alongside that Stroke or Max put some Cummins noise on em!!
