This is the Rubber Grommet that used to hold in the stock Air Box... I just pulled it out and used a Razor to cut it off... I did this for 2 reasons - I needed to shim it up 1/8" or so to make it seat right and to ensure there is no air leaking in that is unfiltered.

I placed the sensor on this side to allow the cooler air to pass over it from that side... it may be a moot point but from what I know about Gassers cooler air advances your timing? Not sure but it might work on our 24v'rs

I have since flipped the sensor around in a more sensible position...

Painted photos will come soon.

Looks good... really good!

The only thing I may add, is you might consider making a sheet metal "box" around the filter. Some have reported snow and ice packing of the air filter when unprotected, to the point that the truck started smoking very badly from lack of air. I think Topper ?? also claimed water ingestion from an unprotected filter during extreme rain.

Good job!!!

Thanks... Here it is painted. I may paint it darker.

I really like the sound and have been brainstorming about a sheild and even found some side vents that I could mount into the side of my front panel to have open air come into my fender body and theoretically out of the intake boot hole there combined with a shield  - I may fab a gaurd along the bottom near the frame to keep heavy water splash out - I'm in the Coastal Region of TX so no snow plowing here...

nice i am starting on mine on sunday

Nice... you won't regret it. Don't run it until you get the sensor installed. If not you will trip an Engine Light.

Another note... I had to get this particular PVC at a Local Hardware Store - Lowes/ Home Depot didn't have what I needed.

One tip for the sensor - do the cut grommet and it will seat perfect with the O-ring right at the PVC 1/2" Augerbit hole... and drill one 1/8" hole and place a screw in THEN drill the other. That way the holes are lined up perfect.

if the sensor is plugged into the harness, the ecm won't know or care that is isn't in the air stream. i ran my bhaf like that for over a year. now it is in the piping, but no change at all. i wish i didn't do that now. much cleaner looking with the sensor tucked away but i am stuck with a hole in the pipe now so in the pipe the sensor stays
