I swear my turbo is whistling more than it used to. I took the hose off the intake to check for shaft play. There is very little side to side, and none in and out. Everything else seems normal from performance to boost readings egts etc. the only difference is it sounds cooler. Could it be something with the waste gate? I have made no changes recently.

You could have a split boot or mis-installed intake part - check all the way to the air filter. I had a boot split at the turbo during re-install on the bottom. Half went into the turbo inlet and the rest was between the clamp and turbo. Major sound change. Oil analysis showed more silicon and resulting intake tear down found the issue.
