Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) turbo

2001 2500 TD auto have hx35 turbo. banks brake. 4'' pipe from turbo out back. banks intake tube. stage 3 injectors edge comp. a inline helper pump. 20#pressure. full set of guages. AFE air filter. ats triple lock torke converter. ats valve body in tran.



I would like better turbo I have ben told that the hx35/40 hybrid is the only one that will bolt up to the banks and if this is so will that be a good turbo for my mods.

The hybrid will flow much better than the hx35 that you have, but If you plan on going with more upgrades later... . You will outgrow it soon.

2001 auto factory turbo is HY-35 very small 9cm exhaust housing. A 35/40 hybrid would be a great upgrade and you can keep you turbo mount brake with the 5 bolt flange. If had a v-band clamp brake there are other turbos. You could cut off the 5 bolt flange weld on a 4" v-band flange and run a HTT turbo?
