i bought the truck used and would like to know how to tell if the exhaust housing on the turbo is stock or if it aftermarket? the turbo has a number on it. the number is either 16f4c or 16fac i cant really make out what the last one is. any help would be very appreciated. thanks

ok if i had a 16cm2 housing or a 14cm2 housing how would i know? where on the exhaust housing would it tell what the size of the housing is? is there a way to measure it without taking it off? i really would like to know to see if i need a bigger housing to delay the egt getting hot real fast.

bmoeller, be careful with the list recommended. My "95 was built in 8/94 and has a "94 spec turbo (WH1C) not the HX35 that the list says. You should verify any parts before ordering.

RBratby,

You mentioned egt's are a prob. I didn't notice anything in your sig about air intake upgrades. When we put a #8 on my friend's '95 the egt's got hot. After installing 370's (which should have aggravated the situation) the egt temps went way down. Oh yeah, we also installed an aFe air intake kit at the same time, now egt's don't get out of hand at all.

i have a k&n air filter on the truck. my egt's dont get to bad now. in the future im going to install 191dv's and a set of 370's thats when i will have to worry about egt. i guess thats why i have a guage though. what do the numbers mean the are on the exhaust housing? 16f4c or it might be 16fac i cant read the last one on the housing but i know it is one of the two.
