Just got it installed tonight, and it works as advertised. Great lil gadget. My question is when its "running" the Air Bag and ABS lights come on after turning off the key and engaging the lifesaver, but they go out and do not return until I engage the Lifesaver again and turn the key off. Does anyone else experience this. . or is something wrong???

Thanks

Didn't Steve St. L encounter this with his Turbo Temp Monitor. That why he added some extra wiring to prevent this.

Kat,

I don't think it's a big deal, just an annoyance. If you want the number to Baker Automotive, the manufactures of the Lifesaver, so you can ask them directly, shoot me an email and I will send it to you.

Ya I got the number too :) And I intend to ask them, but they ain't open at 4am on Sunday morning ;) So I just thought I would post it here and see if anyone else has seen it. Since they go out and stay out on start up I don't think its a "problem", I can see where the "system" is confused with the key being off and the truck still running :D

Thanks

Small Wiring Fix

I've been tinkering with a cooldown device based on the output from the SPA pyro. It triggers a relay that otherwise lets the engine run. We found we had the same problem you noticed. There is another circuit that needs to be energized to solve the problem. I need to check my notes to be specific.

OK, Courtesy of Steve St. Laurent-

"The lights you are getting are the Air bag and ABS warning lights probably. There are two buses that you need to power up to avoid that problem, the Dark blue wire will keep the engine running and the Black/Orange wire will keep the Air bag and ABS systems up".

So, there you go:)

I have installed the lifesaver and had on for 8 months or so. I have not had the problem you describe. The ABS and Air Bag lights com on when lifsaver engaged. but not problem during next start. Or to maybe I don't understand the guestion?:(
