AFE Filters Has Dropped Their Red Pre-Filters...

Got my trans pan today, can't wait for the trans to get here.

It's built well, and it's cheap. Sorry for the subpar pics.

Inside. It holds 3 more quarts of ATF(+3 in my case) and has the "turbulator" tubes. I see more surface area, which=more cooling.

Outside view of the tubes, and the turbulators inside, they basically are twisted strips of metal through the whole tube. Not sure what in the fawk they do, noting would be my guess  I like the idea of the tubes, the turbs are snake oil IMO.

Fawkin CHEAP! :guns:

If air was actually flowing through them, I could see that there may be an increase in surface area for heat transfer. But it's not the most effecient cooling system to be sure. Maybe it's just better just because! :)

I don't think it could hurt. Unless a tube formed a leak. Or the fluid was overcooled. :-laf

I bought it because it was $95 shipped, and because it holds 3 quarts more fluid. The other fluff is just extra. :-laf

The last pic shows where I bought it from, and for how much. It'll be under my Goerend's Trans that's being assembled now.

It looks just like the Integrity coolers from the '70's,they didn't go over so well than either. My brother had one on his blazer,I had the stock pan. Driving side by side on the same grades our temps were virtually the same. Both trucks had 4" lifts so about the same air flow under the trucks.
