Hey guys (and girls), tonight my left turn signal just stopped blinking, it just stays on solid, the right turn signal works fine, what's going on here? Something electrical? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Great, I hope it's just the bulb. Oh and I will top off the "blinker juice". I was in traffic for 4 and 1/2 hours last night when the blinker went out! Unheard of here! Worse traffic in our history. An Army tractor transporting an excavator, smashed into a pedestrian bridge.

Sounds like a burned out bulb to me. 4 1/2 hours in traffic. Thats about the same time to go around the whole island. Aloha form CA.

Man! I went like 2 miles in 3 hours, from Radford overpass to Pearlridge cut off, INSANE! Anyway, I changed out the bulb and it still does not work, front signal lights up but the rear doesn't???? Would it be the turn signal relay even if one still works?

OK, did a little more troubleshooting, here's the deal now, driver side rear signal doesn't blink at all, even with the 4 ways activated, the other 3 will flash but the drivers side rear will not. The turn signal won't flash still, and the front light will stay on if activated.

If you are also having trouble to the rear, change the flasher relay (fuse). My 02 has a relay, I checked your truck on a website, it should a small, round flasher that costs about $3. 00.

You can also swap bulbs side to side & see if this moves the problem. The only other thing I can think of, would be having turn signal fuses in the cab or under the hood that may need replacing.

If this doesn't take care of it, it's probably something wrong in the steering column or turn signal switch.

Did you check with the headlights on to see if the taillights work on the rear. If the left rear taillight doesn't work you have a problem with the socket or wiring for left rear.

Smack me upside the head everyone! When I changed the bulb I didn't check the fit into the metal tabs, seems they were loose. MY dad pushed the bulb in as I turned the signals on and VOILA! Turn signals again! Feels good that I can drive curteous again and not just change lanes without signals. Thanks for all the advice guys, may come in handy in the future.

And you do not get a gold star for the fix. All the anguish you've caused us is just not anyway to treat your feller fixers.

Really though, it is good it was some so simple.
