Turn Signal

Does anyone know of a good way to make the turn signal louder?

I have read in my '01 factory shop manual that the dealer can program your truck to have an auditable tone when the signal is on. It is silent when you are stopped but makes a tone at 25mph and above. This is in the manual in section 30,Programable features. Chris

Thanks but my 02 manual doesn't have a section 30.

The only progrmaming it talks about is for the Remote Key entry.

Now what?

Are you talking about the owners manual? In the last section of the second book(factory shop repair manuals) it discusses alot of different programing features that the dealer only can do. I would think that they shouldn't charge you to do this. Chris

I meant the Factory Manual . Mine only goes to section 25. There must be another one the dealers get.

Section 30 in my manual is labled "New vehicle preparation". Maybe they don't want you to know about the extra things that can be done. Anyhow, the dealer has to do this with their scan tool. Give them a call and see if they will do it. Tell them you are like one of those 80 year olds that goes down the freeway for ten miles with your left turn signal on. I even catch my self. It is because of all of that rattling under the hood!!! Chris
