Is this still a good way to get a little extra boost? I currently see 20#. I can't find any photos or detailed install instructions. Anyone have a link?

26 psi is stock boost limit range, your Torque Dog might bump that a bit higher.

You have a boost leak somewhere. Do a search on 'Boost leak' and read up.

I can't get above 20 psi boost with a Smarty and Mach 1's... ... ... ... . same turbo as you (stock HY). I'll keep watching this thread.

My Torque Dog came with a boost elbow, but that just for a manual transmission I guess. I assume with the auto, I have to use a turnbuckle or J hook to get the extra boost. The Torque Dog definately added power, but I see maybe 1 lb. of extra boost.

Your waste gate is dumping the extra boost. No matter how much you fuel it, within reason, you are just going to dump the extra air out the waste gate. I had the same problem when I added the EZ to my truck. I gained considerable power but couldn't make use of it because of high EGT's while towing. I went with a "J-hook" instead of a turnbuckle because the j-hook uses a spring and the waste gate can still open if boost gets high enough. Completely disabling the waste gate with a turn buckle made me too nervous. After doing this I gained about 5-6 psi and the EGT's stay below 1200 while towing. I went with the B-D J-hook for about $50. 00.

Hope this helps
