Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) turned off key

01 engine quit as if i just turned off key and would not restart, no warning of anything wrong before hand was running fine. Any thoughts on where to look frist ? Thanks Marv

Check your codes in the odometer window and see if any show up. Let us know if there is any. How many miles do you have? Any mods done to the engine? etc

turned key off: have edge chip 65hp max,EFI,gauges, 77,000 miles, BD pusher pump ,main LP workes when I bump starter have engine light on in odometer window. Marv

Turn the key off and on 3 times leaving it on the third time (accessory only. . not to start!).

Your odometer window will read out any codes. Let us know what you have.

what year truck? key off on only works on years after 1999. otherwise need scaner for codes.

turn key off, lost main pump. may be because of to much fuel pressure to main pump. Was running stock LP with BD pusher. Had 24lb at main pump. Talk to tech said you can have to much pressure to main pump. Said 10 to 15lb was enough . So I hope this will help someone else not to make the same mistake I did Marv

You odometer should start to scroll symbols across the display which will be whatever codes (if any) it has stored. I guess it's possible you have no codes but I didn't know an engine symbol would show up on the odometer display!!
