Long, long ago..... in a land far, far away... ... ... :D :D

ok- ok... ... do the front rotors on the 93 and older have to be resurfaced on the truck? I thought lon ago that I read that someplace... .

Or maybe it just takes an oversize (macho) machine to handle them??

You can turn them off the truck. The quality of the job is controlled by the person doing the machine work.

Also turned on the truck is no sign that it will come out true eather. The same apply's here also. The person doing the work makes or breaks the quality of the job done.

The bottom line is when you are looking for some place to do the work find out how long the machinist has been doing this type of work. Little time on job. Find another place to take it to.

Thanks Phillip, I appreciate the response. I'm changing out the fronts to the EGR equipment and wanted to turn the OEM rotors for spares.

My son has a "standard" brake lathe and can turn these rotors in his shop.

He doesn't think it's rocket science. He test drives what he fixes and has not had an issue with his customers... . if it ain't right the customer doesn't get the vehicle until it is.

Darn kid is too honest... ...

Hope that's a result of my influence... ...

:D If it's not I'd be disappointed... . and he has always made me proud!!!!

Unusuall for a repair shop I know, but as a result of his integrity he has more work than he can handle... . and he is making $$ !

Jay

(proud Dad except now I have to BEG for some lift time... . )
