In a twist of fate, I have left the family of diesel owners

Reason for High Fuel $$$$$$$$$

My Ford buddy says it's so . . . , any one know anything about this? I know the variable geometry turbo is the crap already, just wondering if there is any truth to what I was told?

Ford owned 14% of Cummins in the early 90's. This interest was sold long ago.

The "Ford owns Cummins" seems to be the second biggest myth going. Second only to the thought that there is a "G' in Cummins.

From what I've gathered on TDS, the next PowerStroke will be 6. 4l with one VGT and one traditional turbo, two EGR coolers, and a mess of piping and components that will make the 6. 0l look like a dream to work on.

What I wonder about most is - why no info on the next Cummins? The only rumor I've read is 6. 7l but that's it. Can't wait till Chicago Auto Show '06. I'm already planning on going.

From what i gather, reading over at TDS, alot of those fella`s are thinking that the "new" PS with twins is sorta the same as a CTD guy running twins. Somehow i don`t think ferdd is doing it for the BOMB factor. As others have stated it`s prob to meet emissions, just going to make a complicated mess even worse methinks.

My guess is that it would be strictly emmisions, just like the Cat ACERT engines. From what I understand, the point of twins on those was not to use EGR. It had something to do with the turbos creating enough backpressure that not all of the exhaust gas would leave the cylinders.
