You should also contact Piers @ Piers Diesel Research 604-853-9396 and ask about his twins. Rumor is they are ready real soon and gonna be a nice setup. Does NOT require relocation of the second battery and some other nice things.

Gives 65# of boost, and less than 1300 EGT's. Not sure at what HP level that is measured at. According to threads posted here over the weekend, his kit is complete from the air intake to the 5" downpipe, and everything in between.

Check out his website under (special projects) and take a peek at the twin turbo set-up he has on a 12 valve.

It is sweet.

Hey guys... ... Blackdog and I are becoming really good friends with Loretta, Dave, and Doug over at Enterprise, we pull with them every time we get a chance... we'll be with them out at Scheid if any of you are coming. We have seen the twin setup and it works great, no loss in a/c they fit it fine. No lag, less smoke, what more can you ask for. Loretta's truck is running twins they have her wastegated around 60 psi and she drives the truck everyday... it's been known at some pulls as the "grocery getter" lol..... yeah right!! I've heard of some of Dave's twin setups to do alot more... like his dually..... I've heard of the 100 psi mark a couple times doin line lock burnouts in 4th gear... wow..... well we know it because we've seen the blackmarks in front of the shop..... Anyway, Enterprises twins setup is remarkable sounds like a hive of bees no whistle sounds like a ZZZZZZZ coming from the pipe... . And for the charger layout... I doubt seriously is someone is gonna tell because of all the R&D into it just know this we've seen it and it works great!!! She pulled Dave's WHITE DODGE to the pull the other night in KY and that truck never ever lagged around in acted as if it were empty going up the hills out of Ohio into KY with us running 75 and 80 mph Dave said the truck never pulled above 900 degrees pre charger... . now that's empressive is all I have to say..... Be good... Ryan

Here are some pictures of Piers's new TT's. I'm not sure if this is the exact same one he'll be offering us. This is in a Suburban. Probably a different engine compartment.

http://www.piersdiesel.com/Projects.htm

From what I have heard thru the "grape vine". The primary turbo is Piers's Hybrid HX-35. It looks like it has a HUGE exhaust housing. The secondary turbo is a Garret w/ a 5" downpipe.

I read in a post Piers's TT's can produce up to 120 psi of boost. I wouldn't use that much. That's asking for a blown head gasket & stretched head bolts, blown out intake gaskets and intercooler hoses. Especially on our older thrucks. ( just speculation) :)?

It shouldn't effect you A/C componets.

I"m not 100% sure on Dave Mitchell's TT's. I know you had to relocate the right side battery (like slybones said)

It appears one thing we will need to do on our '94's is change the oil pan to a modified one. This will require raising the engine on one side.

Holeshot,

You are probably going to need some heavy fueling to spool these twins up. They are designed for engines making 350 hp and up. As I read your signature, you'll need to upgrade injectors, delivery valves and get a strong torque plate. Thats the minumum. Even with those 3 mods, you still may not have enough fueling to get them work like they are designed too. :)

If your ready to buy one, all is I can say is: "I wish I had your job" :D :D

If anyone sees any errors in the above post, please correct me :)

Hemi, and all others... .

I am not ready to buy until I know what's in the kit. This whole 'top secret' thing is a bunch of BS. If I saw one kit installed and they let me take a few close looks at it (with some non-invasive techniques, of course... . ) I could figure out the A/R ratios of both turbos and duplicate it myself. It has always been my rule of thumb that if someone else does something better than I do, that in itself will give me encouragement to improve upon things a little. The $4k price tag is not at all unreasonable IF I knew exactly what I'm getting in the kit. I fully understand the importance of recouping your losses with R&D, but to make it top secret is crazy. These kits are not unlike any other product available on the market..... the public is going to make informed decisions on which one to buy based on numerous factors (too many to list)..... THE most important factor to me is being well aware as to what I'm getting in my Fed-Ex box when it arrives from whoever.

Yeah, my truck is stock, but it's not going to be that way for long if I have my way.

Matt - it's only money

Holeshot,

Piers I'm sure will be giving us the full details any day now.

A few members already talked to Piers , this is where I got the above info.

HoleshotHolset,

I cant speak for everyone, I know where I work we keep things quite until were ready to ship. I know from an engineer point of view, I dont like it when the sales guys are out there BSing up a storm long before the products is ready. Then when we deliver its never what the salesman said, even though its more than whats in the spec.

It always works the best when the promotions, ads, literature and all are timed properly with the release of the product. It hardly ever works this way.

So my guess is that, at least in Piers case, things are so much a secret as much as its only now just ready or only close to being ready, and the rumor mill is a little ahead of Piers official announcement.

Holeshot,

The kit has not even been announced yet. All the info is leaking around the forums from e-mails and snip-its of info. Piers does not even have the product on his site for sale yet. Although, you could probably get him to hook you up with one now.

I know it has many other things other than a couple of turbos.

He will always tell ya whatcha get for the money... no top secret stuff.

His prices are very reasonable if you shop around.

He is one of the pioneers of the 12 valve Cummins as well.

The price has actually come down nearly a grand from the last time I inquired with him. He has been trying to get parts mass-produced to get the cost down.

This is exactly what Piers is doing. :) He's ALMOST ready to start shipping.

CRAP!!

I was not even trying to reference Pier's kit... . it was the one I saw on http://www.enterpriseengine.com/specialprojects.htm

They have it listed as being for sale now, but there's no specs. It's $4k, and it sez to call for more info... . I'm an info freak... . (the TDR feeds my diesel needs quite well... . )... . and if the info isn't right there next to the price I wig out.

Talk about a misunderstanding. My bad. I guess I'm a good candidate for a "downpipe *****slap". I didn't make myself clear and ended up being an ass. I do not wish to start a flame. My only wish is to not only help other people, but to learn as much as humanly possible about my truck. I am WAY too interested in this to start upsetting folks. I'm trying to be an innovator in a field I'm just starting to grasp... . that's where I get messed up.

I fully understand the engineering standpoint of things as well... . the sales staff of a lot of companies I deal with like to blow smoke up where the sun doesn't shine... . but when it comes down to it... . I wait for the actual product to sell itself.

I hereby formally apologize to any and all folks that I may have offended with not only this thread, but any and all threads I have contributed (whether constructively or destructively... ) since I have been a member of TDR.

Matt - too eager to learn too much, too soon.

Matt, Hey man, if you wanna see this twin setup work... .come to the Scheid pull were all coming, Eric (Blackdog), me, Loretta Mitchell, Dave Mitchell, Gresh, all of us will be there helping and Supporting Enterprise Engine Performance... ... and watchin the smoke fly when they fire those twins up ..... woohoo. Oh by the way there'll all good people out at Enterprise, they'll help ya out if you have any questions, give them a call. Not this weekend though we'll be pullin at Scheid Friday and Saturday at Lancaster... Thanks... .

-Ryan

I've been hearing a lot about this Scheid event..... but it seems it's out in the midwest somewhere... . a mere 25 hour drive for me.

If my schedule would allow, I'd love to attend... .

Matt

Just like Shaggy said: It wasn't me!

Nope. No top secret pics here... the only pics I have of twin turbos on a 6BTA are the ones from Enterprise Engine's site and Piers' site.

Let's not forget the mental images going through my head 24 hours a day of twins under my hood... . heck, why not just have 6 turbos... one for each cylinder. :D I could easily make that happen, but would it work... . I dunno.

Matt - time and money are the only variables to HP
