I was not aware that TWIN turbos bypassed the intercooler??

I guess I always assumed they still used the intercooler

They do not bypass hte intercooler. Air goes from the filter to your big turbo, to small turbo, through intercooler to engine.

Some do some dont, Usually the ones that do not are for pulling and use lots of water instead of an intercooler.

Most intercoolers will not stand the boost of a Twin setup for a long period of time, they tend to leak quite a bit. I ran my stock cooler for 2 years with Twins running at 60-80 psi and I'm still amazed that it ever lasted that long, I now run a custom PDR bolt in cooler that will stand the pressure as well as cooling much better than the stocker.
