I'm currently running a HTB2 62/14. This Fall I will probably upgrade to twins but I have a couple of questions. Do I keep the HTB2 or sell it and buy a complete kit? One of the main reasons I bought the HTB2 was because it is supposed to make a great top turbo with a 12 cm exhaust housing. The problem is HTT doesn't sell an upgrade kit. I'm not that savvy to make my own piping, etc. so I'm kind of stuck on what to do. Does nayone have any ideas? Can I just buy an upgrade kit from say ATS, BD, etc. and instead of using their existing (whatever turbo) just use all of the stuff in conjunction with my HTB2?

My HP is great and is exactly where I wanted to be, actually it's a little more but that was a bonus. It ran 607 HP and 1189 TQ on a Dynojet 248. However, my EGT's are not what I want. I'm still playing with combinations but this weekend was not good. I was down to 5th gear and light throttle to go up a hill that I used to pull stock at 70 MPH with the same trailer. I couldn't keep the EGT under 1300 to save my life. That was on level 0 with the Juice and level 1 with the EZ. On the way back I turned off the A/C and bumped the Juice to level 3 thinking maybe I didn't have enough fuel or boost fooling to spool the turbo. My boost did go up to 33 lbs and my EGT did stay in check at around 1290 all of the way up the hill at 70 MPH. I varied the throttle and the EGT did follow like it should. I don't want to have to fixate on the EGT everytime I pull though so I thought twins might allow me to pull care free (or at least not as tense). I know I will more than likely drop some in HP but I would sacrifice that for cooling.

I am having the same egt' issues with my new turbo that I just put on two weeks ago.

I thought it would cool better towing but I am pulling passes by the egt gauge.

Call Rip at Source automotive. He may have some piping to let you use that turbo.

I was just going to say to try source auto, (Rip) He can help you out. I also drove a truck with a PS62/K31 and that combo worked really nice together! It was on a p-pumped 24v with 600+HP (RonA on here) and in the flats 900-1000 degrees running about 55lbs at just under 100 mph! (couldnt keep traction in fifth but 6th pulled really nice)!

Thanks guys. I was just on his web site. It looks as though you can piece meal a setup together fairly easily. Why don't others do this? I may call him and just make the trip for a custom build if he can. :)

I think the reason people dont do it because they dont have the time or fab skills to build their own kit.

Do it, Rip is a great guy to deal with. I don't know if he has actually started marketing his twin kit, but he does have the pieces to do it and it works.
