is anyone running piers hx40 / 3bt combo at high altitude with an auto and stock injectors?
I would like to know how it spools, that is my main concern but also does it surge at high boost or any other objectionable characteristics?

any others twins on a common rail, pulling heavy at high altitude??

I am running a pdr twin system (40/3b) in Logan, Utah. Elevation is around 4600 ft. My truck is a 6 spd, and has DD stage 3 injectors. EGT was an issue with a single turbo, but since putting the twins on, EGT never sees over 1300 F.

As a side note, I had my valves adjusted last week, and found that the intake's were alright, but most of the exhaust valves were out. Adjusted them back in and dropped almost 150 F. Feels more powerful too.

so how does it spool? with stage 3 injectors spoolup is probably a non issue.

I talked to mike at scheid diesel they put together a set w/hx 35 and a borg warner s4 has anyone had any experience with this turbo combo and this company??

i have dealt with less and debbie at scheides and they are great, on the other hand i have a bht4c turbo off of my old cummins that was in my semi . i have a 2001 can u run it in a twin setup, does anyone know,,,,

Twin spool up

Spool up is pretty good. There is a little lag from a stand still, but it is pretty minimal. It spools almost exactly like the DD Jammer I had previous to the twins.

Smoke is a function of how I set the TST PMCR. Levels 1-3 produce almost no smoke with the twins. Level 4-6 has a smokey "haze", and levels 6+ produce a "fog".

I love the twin set-up. I currently have the blow-off valves set at 60 psi, but I rarely see above 50 psi unless pulling a large load or hill. Still running stock head gasket and stock head studs.
