I doubt I will have it fixed by the time we go, but that wont stop me from going. I am still dealing with the insurance company's. They sent out a guy to come look at it and he preped me for the worst. They might total it. :{ :{ We will have to see what they are going to do. If they do end up totaling it I will buy it back and I will have that in writing before I sign anything. What a headache. I also have to find all of my reciepts for the last three months incase they want to play hard ball. The only problem is that they only give you about a 1/3 of it.



Since the whole thing needs paint I have a buddy that worked in a body shop he told me he will get everything preped and then we can take it to the shop for paint. I have to collect some things first though. I need a new winshield and some new fenders. Some idiot cut them to fit some wider tires. I wonder who that could be.



I would just go buy a new one, but I have to much money in this one plus I am real fond of it anyways.

The insurance company should at least pay you low blue for your truck. Search on line and find similar trucks for sale. This will allow you to show the insurance company what other trucks on the market are selling for. From what I have been told from a insurance adjuster friend is the company must settle with you. They will first try to low ball you and get you to sign the offer. Time is on your side. Find a fair market value for your truck and stick to your guns on your price.



Another thing to remember is salvaged vehicles are usually only worth about half of whatever the low blue book price is.

Bob. It's just a wee short drive for you down to Rhonert Park. And you are the spiritual leader of the first gens. Therefore I think you should take your rightfull place on the other side of Jeremys truck and help me spin the dyno with your foot. I am thinking that a guy on either side helping spin and a guy in front of the truck with an Oxygen bottle and an Acetylene bottle will do the trick. As soon as the dyno loads you and I apply the Reebock afterburners and the guy in front knock the valves off the two bottles with a big hammer. Just before it happens someone needs to say " Hey, y'all watch this". Oxy-Acetylene inhallation, sweet horsepower in the making.

Hey thanks guys

I was kind of feeling a little down down. Now to top it all off I have an electrical issue. Dam thing quit on me and melted my wires to my fuel solenoid. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh If its not one thing it another. I guess I will have to track all the wires down and see whats causing this. Or maybe I can talk Brad into looking at it. I don't think I have the patience. Thank you for all of the support.

I don't know if this will help or not, but you may try to work something out with the adjuster you're dealing with. Try to see if they will pay whatever the max is before totaling it. That way you wont have to deal with a salvage title or any other hassle. Allstate tried to total my brothers 66 El Camino when the hood blew up. It ruined the hood and hinges, broke the windshield and rippled the roof. My dad told them he didn't want the car totalled and that he would buy it back if they did, so they just payed out whatever the max was at the time and we went about our way. We fixed the car and never had a problem. Take into account this was in '89 and the car wasn't worth much at that time. It's worth a try and they might go for it, less paperwork if they don't total it.
