... already toasted 2 Ferds. One was bowing (no kidding) when I let him by. Somthing to do with me standing on my brakes to let him catch up; three times; giving him about a 30mph head start. Then punched it when he got to my door. He never got ahead; I pulled away every time. A good sport.

It drives a-lot like my 95 and 98. 5 used too. A little more lag with the bigger turbos (PDR Comp) but when they spool up; brace yourself!

All told; about 4 days work. Chalk off 2 days to my lack of experience (1 1/2 days just putting the dang ATS manifold together -- pound together with a rubber mallet my ..... how about slam into concrete floor with everything you've got!); it's about a 2 day job. While I was waiting for the ATS to freeze and fry (depending on which piece) I was finishing off a full 5 inch exhaust with stacks. Big rig 5 inch muffler. I threw away the 4" inch system I bought earlier this year; live and learn.

Most boost I saw tonight was 50lbs. Once it starts building more my clutch starts wildly spinning with a lose of forward momentum. Clutch vendors here I come...

I'll get some pics up tomorrow (along with all the others I've promised the last week!) the deed is done now I can catch up a bit.

Mark, what other mods are you running besides the twins, these twin set ups are starting to get my attention!! :D Are you going to put the thing up on the rollers and see what it has?

Wow! I had no idea assembly of the ATS manifold was so hard (plan on getting one eventually). I guess that's why they "warn" you that if you buy one with the hi-temp coating it comes unassembled. Perhaps an arbor press would have been effective?

Big Mak,what twins do you have?,did you o ring yet. My ATS manifold went together in under 5 minutes. A pair of welding gloves,a few blocks of 2x4s a 3 lb hammer, and a map gas hand torch,6" vise. i just bolted the center to the stock mainfold which was secured in the vise, heated the center ,wacked the ends in using the wood to protect them, and lined it up with the stock manifolds bolt holes, once one end was in bolt the end and center to the stock manifold, then hammer the other end in,the stock mainfold acts as a guide, and stop. It took longer to set it up than to hammer it in.

Im pretty sure he has the PDR comp twins. HX40/HT3B

I finally figured out to bolt the new manifold to the old one; one piece at a time; then used concrete floor as big hammer! You're right; 5 minutes after that I was all set. Bolting the manifold to the old one is the big key to getting it all lined up. I baked the middle to 500 degrees and froze the outside pieces; froze water in them even; and it didn't matter. When I tried to press them together with my hi-lift jack on one side and my patio on the other; my patio moved!!!

I've been playing with my TST PMCR settings to get the best settings for this configuration. Now that I have these big turbos I can leave that TQ number nice and high to keep them spooled and it runs great; very little lag. If I have the TQ number where I used to with the little turbo then there's noticable lag.

So far; 5/5 is the best drivable number -- ton's of power and almost no lag. Any higher and all that power gets converted to heat in the spinning clutch!

I'll have it on rollers this coming weekend. But I won't be able to see max power since it's still a stock clutch. I'll dyno it at 3/3 and if the clutch doesn't spin I'll run it at 5/5 also.

See sig and truck profile for my setup. Added 100lb boost gauge when I put the turbos in. Most I've been to is slightly over 50; then backed out because the RPMs where climbing and the truck wasn't speeding up (spinning clutch).

Key engine upgrades: Fire-ringed; head gasket upgrade; studs upgraded. TST PMCR computer. Never 'punch it' when the engine is cold!!!!

WooHoo! Went cruising around a-lot this weekend to get some break in miles on them before towing to KC this coming weekend. All grins. Oo.

the CEL ,is the last thing Id worry about running it hard when its cold. You will blow the head gasket quickly, and run the risk of sticking a piston. Even a single turbo truck should be run under low boost til fully warmed up .

I was asking about the CEL because if I hit mine a little too hard when I'm not at full operating temp I get the light and a P0336 code. That's all...

Haven't had any issues tripping codes. Just protecting the engine. Can't wait to get the new clutch... ... (one thing after another!)

... end EGT's. Think I saw about 1250 running WOT racing the Ford with TST on 5/3. EGT's not a problem at this time...

Have you moved your ground wire from the battery to the dash skeleton?

I had the same problem then learned to put the wire in the cab and havent had a problem since.

I figured out the code problem but what's driving me mad is the single miss. They don't seem to have a solution for it and there answer is send it back for a refund. Been looking at twins but not until I have my HP solution set in stone...
