Bully Dog Question

Truck Died

I'm doing some research for a friend, pretty much I get to spend someone else's money. Anyways, the truck is an 06 auto 4x4, and the primary use is going to be towing, nothing too heavy but his last truck which was about 550hp got really really hot even towing a jeep with the box turned off. The plan is to get the transmission done middle of next month, then add a box, probably the TST powermax, and then maybe twins and injectors. Is the powermax enough fuel to spool twins. He isn't looking for anything super high horsepower, probably in the 450-500 range. He just wants to be able to use that power towing.

Next question, what turbos are you guys running, is there an already built set that works wonders or is custom fab the way to go(it is an option, if we need to go that way).

Thanks, sorry this was so long

Sean

For that HP I think the Relentless Diesel Or Kendrick twins will work perfect. With a big single and towing I dont recomend it (trust me I know first hand) For the price both kits are bolt on, proven, and can lay down some good power. Both use the stock turbo up top so you have a reduced cost and fast spool up. TST will work fine, you can get the twins program for extra fuel down low to help spool up.

Cool, thanks guys. I talked with Piers this morning, and they wanted 4600 for their towing kit, and said with the TST it would yeild around 500. I was also curious about the sp66 turbo. But with these kits and only having to buy one turbo, it should be a bit less costly, thanks.

The sps 66 is a great turbo IMHO But if you try to tow heavy with it, it WILL surge! Im not dissapointed with mine, infact im impressed how fast a charger of this size can spool up so fast and still retain great cooling, Its just with a good size load aginst it and pushing it, it will surge in the lower RPM's.

cool, thanks for the info on the sp66. Just curious, how much do they cost? if I remember correctly they aren't very cheap. I'm just looking for a comparison between it and the Relentless diesel twins. Thanks, Sean
