But save some coin

the reason for the difference in price is they do not use an external gate. I also use a TAD-B2 that extends the kit to 700hp or so.
I won't sell a set of twins without an external gate. the draive pressures above 50psi become a real problem.
the drive pressures with a 38mm gate should remain a hair below 1:1 until 60 psi and don't become an issue until 70-75 psi.
The external gates are a lot more adjustable and yield higher eGT reductions under load. the higher flow makes a big difference on the top end.
FWIW,
Mark
RCCox said:The common rail motors do not produce enough fuel to run a hx40 up top. So the relentless twins use your factory turbo . It saves on cost and its all we really need.
lmills said:the common rails can produce enough fuel and now that people know the recipe for the HP there will be plenty in the 650-700 HP range. Piers made 735 HP with the only internal mod being a cam and injectors. And spool up is far from slow with the set up. The thing smokes with just a blip of the throttle

But weight and MPH through the traps is VERY consistant and can't be modified.
If the HP numbers that are being claimed are anywhere near true then ALL of these trucks should be able to match these numbers and even run much faster. So tell me, why hasn't anyone done it?
Until another common rail can run that fast at that weight, I do NOT believe that they are making more power.

banshee said:I was at IRP and won the dyno competition with a run of 647 hp. The 1/4 mile times in my signature are old (about 100 hp ago!), but they're still faster than your auto truck. If the rain holds off out here in NC I'm going to try to get to the DHRA race and see if I can row this beast to a 12. XX. I'll be happy with a 105 mph trap, too... considering I let off the gas 4 times down the strip :-laf Oh, and I run an HX-40 up top. External WG, too!

Edit-- I didn't race, by the way, because I didn't want any freak breakage 12 hours from home.
