twins?

I was wondering about the size(diameter) of pipe used for twins. The piece that goes from the big turbo(exit) to the inlet of the small one. Would it be better to have 4" or 3" piping? Or does the size matter in this situation? Thanks!

Some kits use 3. 5" and some use 4", couldn't tell you if 3. 5 is better though and I'm not going to get into the pressure/velocity thing.
