Pillar gage pod painting

I ordered a two pod replacement pillar from Bully Dog. It actually came in as a pillar that goes over the orriginal one. In the instructions it says I need to grind or cut off the speaker mount on the factory pillar. If I wanted to do all that, I would have just ordered the screw on one from Geno's. Does anyone make an actuall replacement pillar with one, two, or two pods with the tweater mount?

if you do a search on this topic in earlier threads you will find that numerous have tried to find a full replacement with no success. However I have seen the one from Genos used as a replacement and it turned out great. The guy did a awesome job. Just take your time and you will figure it out. Hope this helps.

I purchased the same unit but from Geno's. They included their instructions to use it as a replacement. Actually you just locate in the proper place and secure it with screws or the grey double back tape. No big deal.

To my knowledge, there is only one manufacturer of the pods, and many retailers.

YES there is a 3 pod with a tweeter! I had to educate my retailer but I got it. If Bully Dog doesn't have it they can get it. Call them. Otherwise, check out the advertisers in the TDR. There's an outfit in Texas and Scheid's Diesel in Illinois has them. Run that search for threads on the pods and there is a TON of info.

YES you will have to carve up your OEM pillar, but then you needed a hole to run your wires through anyway, right? Not a big deal.

Your next question will be painting it. Look at a later posting in this section regarding that subject. An exact match is easy using mopar paint.

I love my setup. It looks like it came from the factory! So easy on the eyes when driving too.....

Good luck
