Installing a brake controller in a '93

How do you have your E-braked auto set up?

Ford.

My main gripe with Ford products is that they suck to work on - not mechanic friendly. That and the fact that they seem to change parts at random. You practically need parts from the truck next to yours on the assembly line to fix the stupid thing. When GM came out with its' Mr. GoodWrench ad campaign, Ford countered with its' own - Mr. BadHammer. When GM went to "Like a Rock", Ford tried "Like a Brick". My brother did an ad lib on the country tune used to advertise Fords - Gonna buy me a Ford and run it up and down... ..... the hoist.

OK that's enough for now.

Well, I've got two buddies that travel with us. One has a chipped Powerstroke Ford, the other a chipped Duramax. My fifth wheel is 1,000 lbs heavier than thiers and they are NOT passing me on the hills. In fact, they both have to get out of the throttle bacause of EGT's and I'm still pulling.

I don't know what kind of Powerstoke you are talking about, but none are passing me when towing similar trailers.

If everyone thinks this Cleaner is a troll and is just here to stir the pot, why the he!! do you guys respond? Let him think what he wants. If we talk to him he'll just keep coming back for more. Or is this something that must be done and i'm too new to this to understand?

Oh yeah, I hate chevys, fords. . eh no competion really. I mean what does a fast ford look like? a mustang? yeah... even better a 6. slow. Everyday I pass 2 ford dealers on my way to work and thank GOD i don't work there.

Three words: Thank you Ford

I, for one wish this gentleman all the best with his truck. I am glad he likes it. I am glad Ford claims the ''most powerful truck''

Think about it and you will too. The 600 Cummins is the result of all this. If Ford and Chevy weren't at least trying to best the mighty Cummins, do you think the 5. 9 would have gone from 160 to 325 HP without any competition?

BTW, my favorite way to lay it on a die hard blue oval guy is to compliment him on the fact that Ford builds the chassis for the mighty Brinks truck. Brinks must really know how to pick a good company to build for them. Then I say '' For the ultimate in reliability ,with millions of dollars at stake Ford is wise to put the ultimate Diesel in this truck--the Cummins!'

Cummins--when it positively absolutely has to get there.

I'm sure the Ford works very well. (when it works)

After a look under the hood of one, I was SURE I didn't EVER want to have to work on one of those. Maybe if you own one, you get used to it.

There must be something that keeps the Ford guys buying them. (maybe the rest of the truck)

owning both

Ive owned alot of diesels, probably almost all of them over time.

as you can see in my signature, I presently own 3 and that's not

including farm, and heavy equipment. Now for your response to

probably one of the most stupidest comments I've heard in recent time. The power stroke is a ok motor, but is nothing compared to a cummins. In fact everytime I let my wife take it for

a ride, she always get lost, so if a woman can tell the difference,

you should be able to. Maybe we all misunderstood you except for the one guy who posted about getting an "ALIGNMENT"

you must of meant pulling left or right. In the future if you don't have anything intelligent to say maybe you should just shut-up.

I always compliment the Ford drivers on their cute truck.

The real truck guys get p. o. 'd; the wannabes say thanks.

I really don't know why anyone has a problem with ford trucks. I really like the fact that they make my truck look that much better. And it really gets fun on steep hills. Want to have some real fun, ask how many miles to the gallon they get.

I for one looking for information on the ford, yes i watch the ford place. Here's the problem i have, 96 dodge 2500 = gcvw 16000,

with 4:10-18000. the f250 i'm repairing has a gcvw- 20000.

till i can get a 1ton which truck do i drive? the dodge and camper weight is about 20000lbs.

Well, I was a bit wrong, there ARE a couple of blue ovals on the front of my truck - impacted sorta like squashed bugs as I overtook them in the hills on our last RV outing - a good wash job should take them right off... ;) :p
