I would like to know the experience of the group as to what is normal reading for a 6. 7 at highway speeds on the flat.

EGT Pre Turbo at 60 MPH

Boost Post Intercooler at 60 MPH

EGT Pre Turbo at during Active Regeneration at 60 MPH

Boost Post Intercooler during Active Regenation at 60 MPH

I have had some work done on the EGR system and all my previous reading no longer apply.

So what it the concensus of what normal should be

Thanks

EGT Pre Turbo @ 60=600-800 deg. High end is towing flat, 14k, Weather?

Boost Post Turbo @ 60=3 to 6 lbs.

Egt Pre Turbo during regen=Never seen it higher than 1100 deg.

Boost Post Intercooler during regen ??

Ted

Egt Pre Turbo@ 60Mph 800-825 Deg. no load

Boost Post Turbo @ 60 Less than 0-1 PSI or 0 (no load)

EGT Pre Turbo during Regen = 1200-1225 for 4-6 minutes

Boost Post Turbo during Regen= no change 0-1 PSI

Freeway driving on cruise control flat or level highway. EGT never exceeded 1225 at anytime. Regen. seems to take place every 80 miles or so, depending on the number of starts and stops. Harder I get on it the sooner it will Regen. Towing it will Regen more often, with a 10,000 load.

To date around 5000 miles, no flashs, no issues since delivery June 1 2007. Have not looked to see what the build date is yet. Will post if requested.

The following are the reading I have been getting since the install of the guages.
EGT - 800 - 1000 degrees - on the flat @ 100 KPH/60MPH
EGT - 1200 - 1450 degrees - on the flat @ 100 KPH/60MPH During Regen for hours at a time
EGT - 1200 - 1550 degrees up hill @ 100 KPH/60MPH During Regen for hours at a time
EGT - 1200 - 800 degrees down hill @ 100 KPH/60MPH During Regen for hours at a time

Boost 2 - 2. 5 lbs on the flat @ 100 KPH/60MPH
Boost 5 - 7. 5 lbs on the flat @ 100 KPH/60MPH During Regen for hours at a time
Boost 7. 5 - 17 lbs up hill @ 100 KPH/60MPH During Regen for hours at a time
Boost 5 - 0 lbs down hill @ 100 KPH/60MPH During Regen for hours at a time

With the above temperature readings and my oil sample results in hand I had a discussion with my Service Manager today. They are going to reflash the ECM/PCM on Tues Oct 2.

Let us know how the flash works for you. Very high temps for such a long time, I would talk to them about a replacement turbo. Nothing else, inspected to see if there is any damage to the turbo.
