Tried to use my phone thru the blue tooth today and got this message: Hands-Free System Loading. Please wait.

This lasted all day - about 2 hours of driving with about 6 stops. One of the stops was at the dealer. They didn't have a clue, but did verify that I had the latest software. They will not look into it further unless I leave the truck there for a day.

Anyone have this experience? Is there a way to reset the system that may help?

I have UConnect 8.4a software update 15.15.5

Are you able to get into the phone screen?

If yes, you might try deleting then re-paring your phone.

I can get to the phone screen. It shows no phones connected (there were 2 phone connected), but also will not let me push the 'add device' button.

So turn off the BT on the phones while in the truck and then back on one at a time. There is a screen it setting that controls which services are linked to the phone. Check that. Snoking

If only there was an on/off for the radio. Find the fuse (I don't remember which one it is) that controls the radio and pull it. Mine did the same thing once and I had to get the power off the radio. Once I did that and it rebooted, it has never given me a problem again.

Sounds like the last update did not load correctly.Sometimes it can be saved others will require a replacement radio

Wife's Journey had a similar problem. Turned out to be the U-Connect module. Of course it was just over the warranty so about $400.00 later it works again.

Was on the phone today with Ram hotline and they walked me through a "soft reset". No luck; reset would not work. Looks like it will be a day of my time and a 40 mile drive to the dealer to have it fixed.

Mine was replaced recently. The screen was totally dead. Now I have this issue and more. I like this message "Truck Phone Needs Service". I have taken back to the dealer with a list of
problems with the replacement radio and they had to call Chrysler who told them that they know about this and are working on another update. We will see. At least it is still under warranty.

The phone requires service message has been back a couple of times in the last few years. It is the built in phone in the radio, and if you don't purchase any apps it is a non issue. The built in phone is losing communication/signal.

Picked up the truck today. The service sheet shows code B2211-00 (Internal Radio Fault).
Anyone know if this code can be read through the OBD port or any other way.

Finally resolved this radio issue today. Only took a month between waiting for the part and waiting another 2 weeks to get a service appointment. As far as I can tell, the complete radio (screen and all) was replaced - part Z8238621AH.

Let us know if that fixed the problem, LandShark. My UConnect has been acting goofy as well. Sometimes it won't recognize a name to call. Last week it had no phone connected when I was in the truck with phone and I couldn't use it to answer the call. Sometimes it will only show a number for incoming call and not the name that is linked to the number. Guess I better start a service record well before the 1 yr. warranty period expires.
