Hi all, I need to check in with the TDR advisers.

Heard a light squeak from front drive line to other night while at a grass fire and I had front axle locked in. So I plulled front drive line and found one U joints in the CV are bad, well I will repalce all three at this time.

A: I went to NAPA and got precision 270 for the CV abd 235 for front U jiont. They claim these are the heavyest they have for it. I got greaseable as well. These zerks are threaded into one cup and use a needle to greaser them... . are there different ones I should be using?

B: I found the rear seal of the transfer case tearing on the outside. This should be an easy fix.

C: found RH axle U joint bad, I allways grease these every 5000 miles. the dealer replaced these 2 years and 75000 ago. I am guess a this winter pulling trailer in all the deep snow got the rh one, had dirty water diripping ount of it. The lh side is good yet.

D: And to top off the morning the air filter minder was pulled down half way, I reset it and it blew apart and I cant find all the parts so I could glue it together.

OK to finish my story, (Prom is about to happen here so my mind is over loaded today)

While jacking up the front to jack was not in the center of the axle and it slipped and on the way down the floor jack went forward and got steering dampner, bent the crap out of it and a dent in the side the the body, Got a new one from NAPA. This one is about 1" shorter, a smaller body and rod is 1/2" instead of 5/8" compared to the OEM one.

Any thoughts???

FYI I allways use jack stands, it just happened before the stands where put under axle
