2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission U-Joints

I just found out today that my truck has the same front U-Joint as a Dakota. I went to NAPA to get a new front driveshaft u-joint and when I got home to put it on it was to big. So I went back and they cross referenced it with an aluminum driveshaft DAKOTA. I am the original owner and I'm not happy about this I thought I had a Heavy Duty truck. I think Dodge should fix it what do you think?

But it wasn't listed anywhere under 3/4 ton only Dakota,1500 and a van al with aluminum graphite shafts.

That sounds about right though, being the same as a REAR dakota u-joint. Figure the size difference between front and rear Dodge 3/4T u-joints. If you break them that much, maybe have a driveline shop upgrade the ujoints, and yokes.
