Uconnect radio knobs

Anyone have a 8.4 system and their rubber knobs are deteriorating? My knobs are mushing out and turning to gel. Not sure if the smaller screen knobs are the same.

Off the hip, I’m blaming hand sanitizer. Wife and kids OD on that stuff, and it’s their paws on these knobs 80%.

I had a few places in mind to search in order to help you out, but came up with nothing. I can add, however, that the knobs from 3.0 and 5.0 radios appear to be identical to the 8.4 knobs you attached. In the event you have to go used, that will certainly broaden your availability of knobs.

eBay has aluminum rings in different colors that attach with 2 sided tape for $13. I may give that a shot.

Hand sanitizer is mostly alcohol and glycerine. Yes i think that isn't good for these soft touch plastics.

I ruined the leather wrap on the steering wheel of my 04.5 by using hand sanitizer. No longer carrying it in any of my vehicles....it was a hard habit to break...I didn't realize that I was addicted to the stuff...
