Looks like DC finally got their hands slapped - big time. And I love it!! Except you and I will have to pay for it. A buddy of mine sells Mercedes and told me a year ago that DC/MB was attempting to pull a similar stunt. If you bought a MB in Louisville - you couldn't take it to Indianapolis for service. The selling dealer must provide warranty service. The thought was to prevent a buyer from buying from a discounter and then taking the unit to his local guy for service. Didn't work in the US. Heil Hitler!!!!!!!!

Ford did that to me back around 84. I had a new 83' T-Bird with mucho problems. Gave up on the lame dealer and tried another. Refused to fix it under warrenty. I don't know if it was legal or not. Dumped the car over it. I did not buy another Ford until 96 when I bought a used van. No warranty to worry about at 45k. Ran that till 106k then swapped it in on my 97 Ram. I am still PO'd over that Bird and will not buy a new Ford.
