Uhaul sells receiver hitches. That is where my dad got his, and my boss' sister has on from them on her Ranger.

I'd check with some other places first for a heavier rated hitch. Most of the Uhaul hitches I have seen were class 3, even for the pickups. I have a Curtiss class 4 on my dodge now after the MOPAR hitch , Reese Hitch and Drawtight hitches all cracked out on the back holes. The Curtiss hitch is 3/8" plate and over 4" square in the cross tube. It was more than $100. 00 but it has held up to a bumper pull skid loader trailer for three years without any signs of stress. My frame, now that's a different story, no visible cracks, but I am still nervous everytime the guys bring the Gehl skid loader home with all the attachments loaded on the front of the trailer with nothing to balance out on the back.

I would look for an equipment hauler trailer somewhere as others mentioned. U haul is on the bottom of the list for me for anything other than an in town box truck and possibly a furniture dolley. I have seen numberous U haul shops maintenance programs, or lack of I should say, not impressed, scared to be honest. The trailers in good shape will take the weight, but few have had wheel bearing maintenance in any responsible period of time.

I would definitely not go to uhaul to get a hitch, that was the first thing i did with my pickup when i got it, check the hitch and see that it was a class 3, When i knew i was going to tow a heavy trailer i took threw that one off and got a class 5, Now it was about 185 i think for a 3 piece putnam hitch for mine and they did have to set it forward a bit because the old hitch had cracked the mouting holes by the end of the frame. bgilbert, i would definitely not try to haul your pickup on a uhaul trailer, I really don't think it would fit but if some guys on here say it does maybe so. When my friends 64 chevy with a 9 foot flatbed blew up, we rented a flatbed trailer from a equipment place that had a shop in the town we were going to. That's what i would look for.
