Anyone know the best way to get up there from the Salinas area? MapQuest is telling me to go the East bay route of 101 to 880 north to the 580 north and meet back up with the 101 on the north side of the bay? Looks like the best way as I am told going the 101 all the way is too much of a PITA.

I live in san Juan Bautista and thats the way i go... I went up 101 one time and I will never do that again. .

Yeah Joe there is no easy way up here. We kinda like it like that. Whatever you do don't go 101. See ya Sat. My son can't wait I have been showing him the pictures of the trucks he will see. He's jazzed Oo.
