I just filled up with my 2nd tank of 15ppm at a local Kroger store. My truck has never smoked before other than a slight haze WFO on Banks Speed-loader setting. Now I'm puffing black smoke in Level 4,5,6 & SL. Not a huge amount, but enough to where I notice it. Also seems like my mileage dropped about 2mpg on the last tank, nothing different driving wise. Is the ULSD fill-up just a coincidence? I had been running the mid-level ULSD that they were using for a while. I believe 500ppm?, with no problems at all. I run PSD in the truck every other fill-up unless I'm dead empty. I haven't changed out the fuel filter yet, but plan to shortly. Seems fine as far as power goes.

ULSD ( 15 ppm ) is all you can get since the first of the year and most likely a few months before. Most likely they are transitioning over to summer blend now that it is getting warmer.

The past 2 weeks was the first time I'd seen the 15ppm sticker anywhere and I talked with the other place and they said they weren't going to get 15 until April 1st. Any other VA guys seen this?

I am from Southern PA and the local station I always use here just switched over to ULSD last week.

Some just haven't put a sticker on their pumps. So far it seems that every time I've fueled up its all been ULSD. I had one place asked ME what that STICKER meant that he'd been sitting on about 2 months.

If you go to the EPA site, that is actually a federal violation to do it either way. Have ULSD and not have the sticker, and have the sticker and still use LSD.

Its a K&N that I want to switch out shortly. But to answer your question. Too long. I'm overdue for fuel and air filter changes.

Sinclair dealer here has both signs on his diesel pump!!! I asked which fuel the tanks had be the clerk didn't know.

Doesn't the new stuff have a green cast to it?
