Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Ultra-low sulphur diesel

Has anybody been hearing about the new Ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD)? Ive read several articles in farm magazines recently about it. Supposed to be completely phased in by Oct. 15 of this year. Absolutely no smoke they claim, and only 15 ppm of sulphur. Makes me worry about the fuel pumps and injectors. Additive is supposed to be already added to it, but there hasnt been adequate time to test it on older engines. Sure hope the 31 year old CAT 3306 in our Steiger holds up! Anyway, the extra-refining of all that sulphur may bump the price up again, as usual. Just FYI from what I know so far.
