nothing but smoke!!!!

Does what ever end? The constant calls to destroy our rights little by little or the point that someone posts a topic to the tune of "their out to get our guns again".

I for one am tired of this two-bit organization that is primarily comprised of tin-horn dictators and old time communists that have nothing but disdain for the US except for its money and military.

Everytime we see a possible threat to our freedoms and liberties be it real or perceived, it is appropriate to speak out, ask questions, and voice our opinions. How else would we get to the "meat" of the issue. Do we think that countries who cooked up this "ban on illicit small arms" put it to the citizens of their countries for their approval ... I doubt it.

Anyone who can put 2 and 2 together can figure out what the agenda of the UN is in this matter. And their particular target is the US since we are the largest country with the most small arms in the hands of its citizens. And who is to dertermin what is an "illicit small arm"? Wouldn't they be arms owned by criminals? And how would they (the UN) be able to determin which criminals have illicit small arms from whom they can confiscate them from?

No, the UN's goal must then be aimed at what is now legal owners of small arms. And we all know that once the populous is disarmed you have removed THE major threat to the powers that be (not to mention the criminal element).

I know for a fact that here in NH that earlier this year we almost had a piece of legislation that, if it was passed, would have made most of the firearms I own become illegal or render them unable to be sold or passed on to family unless I was to sell or pass the firearms on to the state (not to mention the abolition of Concealed Carry Permits). This legislation was only discovered by a small organization in NH that alerted firearms owners at the last minute which made all the difference and the bill was defeated 17 to 1 in committee.

Please do not berate or belittle those who one may think keep rehashing the "same ole topic", because those who wish to destroy and dismantel our fredoms and liberties will never give up in their quest to disguise their true intentions. (Just look a this

"Campaign Finance Reform" garbage with its blatant disregard for our 1st Amendment rights).

I agree with Fatcat.

Do I think the UN will have the blue helmets at my door to remove all firearms say... . next week, or next year? No.

~But~

I think you'd have to be blind to NOT see the big picture.

If things keep going the way theyre presently headed, we as United States citizens will lose much more than just our firearms.

My . 02 .

Sorry guys, i guess i was not clear when i said "Does this ever end" I am agreeing with you, what i meant by that was Does all this trying to ban EVERYTHING ever end. I wish they would just leave well enough alone. They have banned enough stuff for awhile. Why dont they take a break.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's figured out what this trojan horse called "campaign finance reform" really is. Of course the media is all for it, as it would give them a complete monopoly on all information about candidates. Hmmmm, wonder which ones would get the positive press?

need to join/support "watchdog" groups

The Incumbent Protection Act (Campaign finance reform) is a bad one. It needs to be defeated, and the persons who proposed it need to be shown, in no uncertain terms, what we the people think of it.

here's a link to one statement sent to "capitol hill"

http://www.gunowners.org/hs0105.htm --there's others if you click the "back to... . " link in the lower corner of the page

Gun Owners of America is opposed to it, and, I suppose, so are many other Constitution groups. There's a few other things going thru Congress that have caught their eye, as well.

www.gunowners.org and its sister site www.gunowners.com

are both (actually a single entity) available for your perusal/evaluation... they claim to be a no-compromise group, as opposed to the NRA, which has done a bit more give-n-take bargaining... I'm in the GOA, and am really considering supporting the NRA, as well... If I can get over to the LV Gun Show at Cashman tomorrow, I'll probably join...

Let's not let "1984" get any closer to real than it already has, because we already know who has taken over the farm, don't we?

For more bad news about the UN/UNESCO menace look at this site. Have you heard of World Heritage Sites and biospheres (not manmade bios)? www.sovereignty.net/p/land/:mad:  The biosphere AROUND Yellowstone is at least 10 million acres! All dictated by USA? NO, it's the UN. Anyone seen a small UN symbol on National Parks vehicles?

Campaign Reform

I think campaign reform is needed, however the present crap going through has gotten out of hand. I would love to see America able to vote their conscious instead of who has the most money to get to office. I personally would have voted for McCain,he was the only viable canidate in my eyes for the Republican party. How did Bush make it?"money" period. Come on, tell the truth, would you have still voted for Bush if McCain had the backing of the party and the money?I don't think so.

I can see why the special intrest groups like Gunowners,NRA,big buisness,Trade unions, and others would not want campaign reform, can't you? Its not a secret that large bucks come from these organizations to support(or buy)favor from canidates.

As far as the UN,I believe we (the US)are on our way out. It was a good idea way back when, but it has outlived its usefullness at this time. Its time for us to quit being the worlds 911 number and start taking care of our own people. If two countrys or peoples can't get along, just give the inocent people 24 hours to get out,put a fence around the country and supply equal arms to both sides. After the smoke clears you have room for another parking lot. The UN used to give third world countrys a way to be heard. It now caters to third world countrys! How about UN reform? It is still in the US,how about kicking em all out and starting over? There are powers out there over all,but the UN isn't one of them. He!! ,they can't even enforce a arms inspection on a bombed out dictator!

Don't be so paranoid boys, just keep your guns in the closet and the ammo close. :D :D

I WOULD have voted for Keyes if I thought he had a snowballs chance.

IMO he was the most intellegent, well spoken candidate I've heard in a good long time.

He was the only one that I feel had the most in common (view) with my opinion, on all the issues discussed.

McCain

I foolishly contributed $100 to McCain's primary campaign. I thought that Dubya was just annointed by the party bigwigs and wanted to have some competition. Since then I have made a 180 deg. turn and now consider McCain as dangerous as Teddy "Chappaquidick" (sp) Kennedy.

I keep sending back his endless pleas for more money with a demand for the return of my contribution but they keep coming anyway. :(

what really bothers me is the majority of U. S. citizens don't realized that what our forefathers fought for and and then drafted and signed our Declaration of Independence for is being taken away again, little by little.
