If having the torque convertor locked up during low transmission pressure conditions is hard on the clutch how about this? Can we install a switch that keeps the torgue convertor clutch from locking up until we want it to ? Would this work? Just an idea

I have been considering the same thing. I know the guys that drag race with high power use a switch to prevent lock-up. I also think that a properly set up valve body will provide the pressure necessary and unlock when appropriate. You may want to post on DTT's website and see what Bill K has to say.

The only problem with running unlocked is the transmission temps are gonna go through the roof. The stock converter fluid connection is too inefficient.
