uncontrolled accelleration

finally dumped the 01 P. O. S. and got the new one this week. the rpm's definetly hang for a sec. or two (don't like it!) but when i take off in 2nd and lightly 1/4in depression on pedal it rockets to 3000rpm's and if i'm not careful in traffic i almost rearend the person in front of me. it only does it in 2nd gear. all other gears the harder or further i push, the harder it'll go, but in 2nd it act's like the ecm or tps isn't reading the amount of throttle correctly. anyone else with this prob?? does the reflash fix this?? other than this the new truck is AWESOME!!!!!

Yep, mine did the exact same thing. But now that it has a few K on it, it's not as bad. It only revs to about 2000 RPMs when it's at it's worst and it doesn't do it nearly as often. Seems like the lighter I use my right foot, the worse it is.

slight problem

mopar mudder, my truck was built 10-02, and my tps is still on the block like my 01 was. will take to shop on monday to show tech. did some different things with it today and was playing with it, it will ONLY do it in 2nd gear and after i come to a stop, and if i apply just enough throttle to accelerate normal. if i try to accelerate fast or mash it at first and back off it acts normal, or if i let it rev up and don't shift but slow back down to idle in gear and then accelerate again, wont do it. sure hope it's not a sign of things to come cause my 01 never ran right and i WILL NOT go through that again!!!!!!!!!!!

"star" said there is a recall for this problem that involves reflashing the ECM with a different program.



problem is dealer doesn't have software yet!! as it is not available yet??



i will know more in the a. m.

Has anyone noticed that as you roll to a stop in neutral that the idle speed stays high and then drops right as you stop. I have a feeling the low speed funkiness (in 2nd gear) and that are related. I am very interested if this reflash fixes both - kind of annoying. I wish they would just program it to run like the old 12v motors - what your foot does is what you get.

two weeks

dealer guy said there will be a recall notice on this. (i already took 2 grains of salt for that). dealers won't have the software till the 10th of march:need disk 2127, only have 2126. ( checked fluids, rear diff low a 1/2 qt all others O. K.



anyone heard of loose body mounts?? need to have mine checked. sounds real bad when i flex the cab
