Did anyone try the Geno's pad or did everyone order the dealer part and clips?



I saw that amsoilman was mentioned as having one.



Post back and let me know if they were all dealer ones.

I put the Geno's silver/sticky foam pad on my truck, looks nice and it does not collect dust. You have to cut out the pre-marked pieces with scissors or a knife. Easy to put on, but I can't say that it improves my mileage very much .

Does it deaden the sound at all??



I am not a huge fan of turbo whistle. I have always went for the deep exhaust tones myself.



Just wanting to cut down on some of the high pitch needle through the ear noise

It probably does deaden the sound some, but I do not have the best hearing in the world. I only hear the turbo whistle when I am working the engine. Cosmeticly, I think the foil looks much better than the bare hood and I was never a fan of the factory insulation because it is a dirt collector.

under hood silencer- is it weird, or is it me?

My dealer (Fusz Dodge, St. Louis) has several of these. Installed in minutes, and that was that!



Helps a bit with the noise, but what seems bizarre is that hte engine seems to be running cooler based on the water temp gauge, and even the EGT gauge seems a bit cooler. :--) Surely I am doing something wrong! Yep, under 200 on the temp gauge on the highway at speed.
