Under Hood light pictures needed

I just picked up my under hood light and harness today. I figured the install would be easy, but I can't seem to figure out the harness routing. Can someone post a picture of the under side of their hood (with light obviously). I did a search, but the only picture I found was old and no longer linkable. I have an 05. The cup holder / ash tray light was incredibly simple to install. This one is giving me fits. Maybe b/c it's 27 degrees out right now, and I don't want to be out all night figuring it out.

Here is one to get you started resising the other 2 The grey split loom is just tie wrapped onto the light harness so you can follow it. The picture with the arrow is pointing at the connector it is plugged into just behind the relay there...

The part numbers I have, are 56021441 (light), and 56051176 (harness). I am about to head out and look at the hood again.



MCrossley, I'm wondering if that harness was factory installed, or if you installed it? Thanks for the pics!

I think the underhood light is part of the light group with the lighted vanity mirrors. Someone correct me if I am mistaken. One caution, keep spare bulbs as they seem to vibrate and break on dirt and/or rough roads.

no this was a factory install on mine, the reason for the additional loom is I have my strobe wiring going up the same way and unfortunatly I did not have any Black split loom which I still need to get The lighting package is included on the laramie, and some SLT's it is not a standard option... .

What about the dome light? Has anyone installed a dome light after the fact?

Underhood dome light only comes on the truck when you order the light group.

Yep, it appears to be a factory oversight. Took me the longest time to notice it.
