I have searched the old threads for info on storage bins to place under the rear seat of a Quad cab. I didn't order the thing with my new truck.

Has anyone tried the product from Aerotank or the USS Junkbox product that are currently advertised in the latest TDR issue. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks ... ... . Rhett

I remember seeing a comment about the Aerotank seat storage and 60 gal tank both requiring extensive 'rework' to make fit. Try searching on 'aerotanks'?

Brian is correct. I started a thread last year regarding the Aero Tanks 60 gal. replacement fuel tank and someone posted that he had a miserable time installing their underseat storage compartment. #ad
Another alternative is the lockable Mopar underseat storage compartment sold through your Dodge dealer which is different than the optional underseat storage available as a factory option since March of '98. The Mopar units are color matched to your interior and available for both Quad and Club Cabs. Retail prices on these are around $200. for QCs, $220. for CCs. I posted a thread on this over the Fourth of July weekend last year.

I found your old thread John. Thanks to all who replied and I look foward to hearing from DTAUG once he has tried to install his recent purchase. I will also look into the Mopar unit.

For what it's worth, I e-mailed both Aerotank and USS junkbox. I recieved a quick reply from Junkbox but nothing from Aerotank. I then called Aerotank and although they were polite and answered my questions, I got the feeling I was imposing on their time. They told me the Aerotank unit would fit in the 2001 but my suspicion is they havn't actually tried one out yet. A few individuals stated in the old threads that they had to modify the Aerotank unit to acutally make it fit. What a pain in the butt.

Cocahoe, you should do an archive search for my Aero Tanks 60 gallon replacement tank under the product forum. I made the original post (guessing) Aug. or Sept. of last year. Within the thread there are numerous posts describing various dealings with Aero Tanks.

Just finished installing the Junkbox. Fits wonderfully, easy install, well worth the price, things no longer roll around loose in the back.
