A short update.

I have attached a ground wire to wastegate actuator. I have also run a line from the turbo to the actuator so that it sees psi just like it did when it was installed in the OEM turbo. Two days after that the truck defueled while driving 70 + mph. I pulled over/ cleared the code and was on my way. Later I popped the hood and saw that the hose I installed on the turbo (to feed actuator) had blown off. So far so good with no codes buy I'm sure it only a matter of time.

Tonight I re-installed the TST with the Twins program/cool down timer. TST also replaced the injector harness. It's unclear if the other harness was defective but they replaced it just to be sure. It does run better than it did before so who knows. I do know that the Twins program kicks butt with this turbo. On 5x5 or 6x6 it's down right scary . Max boost was around 38 pounds with EGTs around 1350 in OD locked.

Does any one know What Quad offers as way of an electronic fix this low boost code? He sent me a PM saying he had something but we haven't been able to speak to each other yet.

Thanks

Mike

Any fresh ideas on this one? It looks like it sets the code about ever 240 to 260 miles.

I have long drive coming up and it looks like I will be taking my trusty 99'. :(

Mike,

as stated before it is just a solenoid. it has no way of detecting boost. if you want, pm me your phone number and we can discuss it. I have been thru some of these code issues.

Something has changed but what?

Ever since I installed the Edge turbo I getting the low boost code every 175-250 miles. It would pop a few times at 175 and then a few times around 250. you could count on it. Now I have almost 1200 miles with setting the low boost code. What gives?

I haven't change my driving style or changed anything on the truck. Maybe the computer just got tired of telling me I have a broken turbo... ... . Now watch, it will pop one off the next time I start the truck.
