But wouldn't putting that on the underside of your hood make the engine too quiet? I mean the next thing someone will accuse you of having a 3rd gen gas sounding truck.

Judging from the research done by many others on this forum about this subject. . I don't think you have to worry about a 24v being quiet with just underhood insulation. About the only way to make it quiet(er) is to wrap the valve cover area and the oil pan area.
