Understanding my boost behavior

Thank you John. The boost gauge has never, even under the toughest pull, gone above 29PSI. Honestly, on a "normal" travel trailer pull, the most I see is approximately 26 to 27. 29 PSI is rare and for a very short period of time. To me at least, this modification fits my needs very nicely. Thank you for your response and insight.

Mine is hitting about 34 psi and has been for a long time. I usually back off the thorttle to about 30.
Dangerous?

FYI I just purchased Smarty Jr through TDR classifieds. (AH64ID). Boost elbo available on Ebay but wondering about turbo models. I assume mine is a 341, and some of the Ebay listings are for HX35, HX40, HY35 & S300 etc. I assume for any of our turbos this is just a pressure limiting valve and the particular model is not relevant as long as threads and hoses connect. Is this correct. Want to order but hesitated when I did not fine Hx341. I have not yet even looked to see what mine is. It is stock HO 2003, whatever that was. I assume there is a tag some where visible on the turbo.

Yes boost elbow should work for any of the turbos, you should have a he341 on your truck.
