2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Unidentified wire at brakes?

I was checking my front disc pads for wear and noticed what appears to be a wire running into the calipher. I thought maybe this was a wire for a warning light when the pads get warn down but can find nothing in the manual about a warning light. Could this be a sensor wire for the ABS system?

It goes to a wheel speed sensor for the ABS system.
