Fishin Guide - Decided to pull the 5er to Phoenix and the Cup race as though the fuel pressure was jumping all over the place it never went below 6 PSI. Also when it went wierd if I touched the throttle PSI went back up. :D In Phoenix went to Cummins and purchased an Over Flow Valve I think it was $26 and installed it. Did not correct the problem(put old one in with my spare parts just in case). :-laf After getting back up here 17 miles East of Show Low Arizona to the homestead I put in one of the 2 campaign pumps I purchased in Vegas. Seems to have cured the problem; only 10 months on the old Pump!!!! :( Only have 30 miles on the new pump but have the following pressures: Idle 15 PSI, level ground 60 MPH 2000 RPM 14. 8 PSI, WOT did not go below 12. 2 PSI. Oo. So am happy especially if the pump goes for more than 10 months this time. Leaving from here in June to take an easy trip to Oregon and down the California coast then home. Hopefully this will be the last of the LP problems but if not got another campaign pump in reserve. :-laf Thanks everyone for the help. :) Oo. :D

Okay it has been 3 months and a few thousand miles since the Vulcan kit and campaign pump install. Everything was hanging in there until this last weekend and all of a sudden the pressure would jump HIGH to around 18 PSI(estimate as guage only goes to 15). It acted like it would be okay until RPM was over 1800 but that should have absolutly nothing to do with the change in PSI could it? After about another 100 miles it started acting normal again. Any great ideas? Will be leaving on and 3200 mile trip pulling the 14000# 5er in 9 days. Why does this stuff happens when I am ready to go someplace????

Bob you mentioned you put a fuel module in earlier, was it the updated module or was it original design.

Huff N Puff - Sorry did not answer right away as I had to look up the invoice from the dealer and unfortunately did not get an answer!!! Maybe you have the answer if I give you what I know. The fuel module was replaced under warranty January 03 and the Dodge part number is 4897668-AF along with a new retainer 4761990.
