What about my gauge installation? A buddy cut the plate for me from aluminum. I cut the holes in it with a hole saw and a dremel and bead blasted it. I also had to shape it, it's NOT flat! The angle ring for the pyrometer was made from a PVC pipe coupler. The boost gauge angle ring is from Autometer. I need some black screws for the pyrometer and the screw holding the plate on the left. The hole on the left will be covered up with an interior/exterior thermometer this weekend.

I'm about ready to do something different and get rid of the cup tosser... We use it once in a while but thats about it. BBD used his for a switch rack...

I have so far 5 gauges in my truck. . and now I need to address the issue with the head light switch. Over a period of time with all those lights it really takes its toll on that poor little switch. I may need to do like the big boys have... a switch for different sets of lights...

Great job!

I don't even have a truck yet but I was already planning on replacing the cup holder with a home made gauge panel much like yours. What I hadn't thought about was going around the corner to make room for a bigger gauge. I like the asymmetrical look with different size gauges not all in a line, and angled toward the driver. You even picked the gauges I plan on getting should I find a truck. Seemed to match the factory ones best. Very nice job, looks great.

Is that a newer style radio? I am looking to replace my factory radio with a factory CD player radio setup? IF it is a newer unit, did it wire up directly? I have a 95 also, and am looking for a radio like the one in your pic.

Jon

Identical to the factory radio in my '96.

Jon,

I bought that radio on eBay. I don't know what year it's from but it bolts right up and plugs right up just like the old one.

Thanks for all the compliments! :)

You could use the OEM switch to trigger a relay for the lights, taking the big load off the switch.
