My 92 D250 needs all new universal joints and I didnt want to slap some weak cheapos back in I was wondering if anyone new some good brands or places to buy good qaulity universal joints
do you have a driveline shop near you. They'll sell you the best - Spicer. You'll have a choice of the lifetime non-greasable joints (no zerk fitting) or the serviciable greasable fittings (zerk fittings)
I don't buy any without zerks. We repair big trucks so we get ours from a big truck supplier. The place is called Crossroads 877-249-9992 or 906-249-9075. If you call them tell them D&K Tractors sent you. Or you could go to any IH or big truck dealer most of those trucks use spicers. Back in the 70s-80s they had one called a blue seal we used in the mud drag trucks. I don't think it is around anymore. It has been about 8 years since I put spicers in my 93. Spicer doesn't make one to fit my 04, so we have to clearance the yok a little and mill the clips to get them in. I don't know about lifetime I have always thought that was nothing more than a sales ploy besides I lose the receipts anyways. If you are going through a lot of u-joints something is wrong find the problem. Good luck.
