2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Unlatch hood how?

I was installing a new grill insert and let the hood down and it latched and I have not reinstalled the lower hood release. How can I release the hood? Any help will be greatly apprediated as rain is expected.

You will have to reach up to right side of the latch, where the cable comes in, and hook something around the entire cable. Then pull down. Of course you will be pulling on the cable and the black plastic covering at the same time. Don't worry it will pop the hood loose. I did this with my hand when I had the bumper off. It was real easy. With bumper on it will take a little more work.

How'd you like that sinking feeling RIGHT after you closed the hood? Been there done that! I realized it about 1/10th of a second after I closed it.

OHHHHH NOOOOO!!!How do I undo this it was dark and even with lights i couldn't see through the shadows. In the morning I was able to see the latch and push it with a long screwdriver. It only took about 5 minutes the HOW DO YOU SPELL RELIEF. Oo. Oo.
