Competition 1000 HP Common Rail?

Matt,

Since we are still a growing org, I would prefer to keep renting equipment, and dealing with small problems, then to spend big dollars on equipment, and even more on hauling.

That way, we can keep raising the purses, is that ok with you?

The dust issue was just that-dust. The track was hooking hard.

When you rent a Lowry Brothers sled, you get the scales, the laser and the sprayer/scraper. In a dozen or so pulls, this was the second time they brought the broken one.

If you pay closer attention, you will notice almost no misting of tracks around where you and I live. I like to keep adding moisture, as we pull.

No, Sleddy, I'm not bustin' on ya, just hoping to see the day when DHRA is self-sufficient and in control of all aspects of the surface. And I can't argue with giving back to the pullers, hats off to you for that.

I do pay attention and yeah, I haven't seen any misting around here, but shoot, half the time we're after 8 pm and many times past 10 pm when the dew is coming on hard anyway.

I think I won my first pull about midnight, probably the only reason I won is that the track stuck like glue.

How many Sigma pumps were in use? :)

Seeing the videos from these early-in-the-season pulls is getting me fired up for Indy something fierce...

Cheers,

Matt

Was great to see another Indiana Pull in person! We left Ontario at 3am, dropped my brothers truck off at Haisleys at 2pm, watched the pull and made it back home by 8am Sunday. Hopefully the the future I will be able to pull at the more northern pulls. Being to quite a few of your pulls now is making me very jelous! We have maybe 1 or 2 good tracks that are good for a diesel and the sleds are nothing to what you guys have. Our sleds we have are old school and take almost as much to get it moving as it does to pull it the rest of the 300 feet! Oh well... all the more reason to possibly pull with you boys in the future.

On a side not, my truck will be comming down to IRP but it won't be hitting the track. It will be going in the Show&Shine. Figured alot of people on the TDR and other boards that have made alot of great comments on the truck so this might be the only way for them to see it in person.

Hey, don't worry about it! You finally got it up and going, where others would probably have given up. Basically a brand new truck and totally new to you. I can just imagine what is going to happen when I hook mine for the first time. I should have introduced my self to you though... was standing in Haisleys trailer when you came in to talk to Van and Curt.

:-lafClassic arm chair quarterbacking from watching U-tube pull videos from another site:

"Loose track = advantage manual transmission, unless it's so loose that the Alli can hold 4th. That track looked dusty to me on top but I'm thinking there was some grip down below. Not all trucks spun out.

Let's see 'em all on tight hardpack and see where the chips fall before throwing the Dmax under the bus. They guys in the top 5 are top pullers with tons of experience.

Looks like the 4500 limit did not hand the class to the electronic trucks as some had speculated. "

I hear ya.

Could just add some weight and flaten the tires

Well what was it, then, genius?

That was in response to a post by a Dmax owner, warning other Dmax owners that they better step it up or they'll see a whole lot of this in the future.

You said the track hooked hard, so we agree on that, eh?
